Unfortunately, no matter how conscientious an owner is, dematting your dog is inevitable at times. However, it doesn’t have to be painful to your dog, nor do you have to rip out lots of coat if proper technique is used. Unfortunately, dogs sometimes need a blood transfusion, whether it be from an accident, an illness, or an inherited disease. A few of the common causes of needing blood, or blood components, such as platets or plasma, for a dog include autoimmune diseases, heat stroke, parvo, diarrhea, or Von Willebrand disease. The Rocky Mountain Blood Services is a blood bank that that provides blood for dogs and cats thoughout the United States. Responsible breeders spend a great deal of time finding the right home for their puppies. Just like humans, puppies can have different temperaments that are more suited to one lifestyle over another.
